My land:
The most dangerous place for me.
The landscape, the hills, and every rock in this land is a witness to me pain.
For being born a woman, I have been given a sentence.
For me, being a woman has been being in chains,
Being tortured,
And maimed,
My soul and my body being raped,
Being sold,
Being exchanged to end disputes between men…
It seems as if
There is no end to my tears.
My pain has made headlines around the world.
Yet, I stand.
I stand up to change my land,
For a better future for me, my children
And everyone else.
